Technology of Participation

ToP methods are developed by the Institute of Cultural Affairs. These methods have been used by communities and organizations for over 40 years to develop action plans, strategic plans, and build consensus.

ToP is a transformative collaborative tool that empowers groups to work together in a new way with the support of a trained facilitator. It leads to long term, successful outcomes, and increased teamwork through meaningful group collaboration. While empowering collaboration, ToP minimizes conflict and encourage diversity of thought. These methods have been used in more than 50 countries and in organizations such as the United Nations and World Bank.
